K3 Colour and light
Los chicos estuvieron investigando sobre los colores y los efectos de la luz cuando ésta traspasa un cuerpo transparente. Se les ofreció a los chicos diferentes centers en los cuales explorar los colores con objetos translucidos y opacos. También experimentaron con el retro proyector y acetatos de colores creando formas geométricas en la pared.
Este acercamiento a los colores y el comportamiento de la luz solar y artificial en contacto con los colores es el preludio para introducir más adelante la obra arquitectónica de Guadí.
Students played with colours and the effects of light when it goes through a transparent object/body. We prepared different provocations/centres in which they could explore colours with translucent or solid objects. They also experimented with the retro projector and colored acetates creating geometric shapes on the wall.
This approach to the colors and the behavior of sunlight and artificial light in contact with colors is the prelude to later introduce the architectural work of Guadí.
Benito: "La luz es blanca."
Male: "No la luz es transparente."
Emma: "Es azul."
Delfi: "La luz es blanca porque los arco iris son luces de colores que aparecen cuando llueve."
Male: "Es transparente que es blanco como mi remera."
Benito: "PARENTE es la botella de gise."
Amanda: "Esa es el agua que tiene agua la botella."
Benito: "Light is white"

Delfi: "Light is white because rainbows are lights of colour that appear when it rains."
Male: "Its transparent that is white like my t-shirt"
Danko: "Esa es luz del papel brillante y se ve.Con el papel de color se hace azul esa luz."
Benito: " Yo tengo una luz amarilla en mi casa."
Titi:" Poné el azul acá en la botella y con más colores."
Al explorar elementos transparentes y opacos junto a la luz descubrieron que la luz cambia su color al atravesar determinados objetos.
Danko: "That's light made of that brilliant paper that you see. With the colored paper it makes that light blue."
Benito: "I have a yellow light at my house."
Titi: "Put blue here in the bottle with more colours."
By exploring transparent and opaque elements by the light they discovered that light changes its colour when it goes through certain objects.
Beno: " Estoy mirando rojo y amarillo."
Delfi: " Hay colores de luces en la pared."
Emma: " Se hizo colores con los papeles brillantes."
Male: " Porque esa botella tiene colores y se cambia la luz."
Benito: " Y se cambian los colores."
Male: " Es el sol que hace magia y cambia la luz."
Después de manipular los objetos opacos y los transparentes frente a la luz del sol, los chicos cambiaron el color de la luz al llenar las botellas con papeles celofán y descubrir los colores proyectados.
Beno: " I'm seeing red and yellow."
Delfi: " There are colours of light in the wall."
Emma: "Colours appeared with the bright papers."
Male: "Because that bottle has colours and it changes the light."
Benito: "And the colours change."
Male: "The sun makes magic and changes the light."
After manipulating the opaque and transparent objects in front of the sunlight, the children changed the color of the light by filling the bottles with cellophane and discovered the projected colours.

The next class the kids explored the shadows that light generates when it can not pass through the object.
Benito: "The sun turns black when it can not go through."
Male: "It becomes a shadow."
Delfi: "There it goes through because you see the light."
Male: "That is wood color and the other is wood color but with light."
Beno: "The sun has the light."
Delfi: "Because is brilliant. Wood has no colour and does not change."
Danko: "That one has no light because it's made of wood."
Danko: " De día hay mucha luz del sol entonces las luces no pueden brillar."
Delfi: " Necesitamos velas y lamparitas y cosas que brillan."
Male: " Linternas y anillos con luz."
Benja: " Luces de adentro y colores."
Segundo: " Hay que tener linternas de colores."
Después de ver el video sobre la casa Batlló de Gaudí donde la arquitectura permite el paso de la luz, los chicos tuvieron la idea de crear linternas o faroles que dejen pasar la luz del sol o de las luces blancas de adentro.
Danko: "By day there is a lot of sunlight so the lights can not shine."
Delfi: "We need candles and lamps and things that shine."
Male: "Lanterns and rings with light."
Benja: "Inside lights and color."
Segundo: "You have to have colored flashlights."
After watching the video about Gaudí's Casa Batlló where architecture allows the passage of light, the children had the idea of creating lanterns or flashlights that let in sunlight or white lights inside.
Mientras un grupo seleccionaba los papeles adecuados para los faroles, en base a lo descubierto, otro grupo comenzó a diseñar el vitraux sobre la naturaleza. Los vitraux tanto de la casa Batlló como de la Sagrada Familia, están inspirados en la naturaleza.
While one group selected the right papers for the lanterns, based on what was discovered, another group began to design the vitraux based on nature. The vitraux of both the Casa Batlló and the Sagrada Familia are inspired by nature.
Luego de dibujar bocetos sobre acetatos transparente, los chicos re diseñaron el vitraux utilizando el retro proyector para reproducir lo más fielmente posible el boceto original. Será un dibujo sobre flores y una mariposa llena de colores. Continuarán explorando técnicas para colorear el fondo del diseño.
After drawing sketches on transparent acetates, the children re-designed the vitraux using the retro projector to reproduce the original sketch as faithfully as possible.
